
Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities
Manages all mechanical/electrical safety programs.
Directs employees throughout the facilities regarding EHS.
Review’s safety rules, standard operating procedures and makes recommendations for improvements.
Takes proactive role in accident prevention.
Manages and improves preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize plant downtime and waste generation.
Manages all central maintenance efforts, construction/repair activities and equipment installations.
Responsible for facilities and maintenance engineering projects (capital and large expense) including planning, preparation of Appropriation Requests and execution after approval.
Manages utilities for the plant – including steam, water, electric/power distribution, and environmental systems.
Procures at the lowest possible cost; identifies and implements improvement projects to reduce usage.
Assures appropriate skills/crafts are available to maximize plant uptime and efficiency.
Use training and developmental programs to develop and improve the maintenance organization.
Facilitates hiring and managing of outside contractors and engineering services.
Coordinate’s maintenance planning including purchasing of MRO items and equipment.
Responsible for managing storeroom, including parts, ordering, inventory accuracy and valuation.
Maintains and improves the Maintenance Management System (MMS) for effective data generation, analysis, and process support.
Must adhere to all company and location policies and safety rules.
Other duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering/Technology and ten or more years of maintenance management and/or engineering experience in a light/heavy industrial environment, or equivalent pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and instrumentation experience.
Additional Skills And Abilities Preferred But Not Required
Six Sigma Black Belt with hands‑on, site‑wide application.
30‑hour OSHA safety course.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one‑on‑one basis as well as in a group.
Excellent project management skills.
Strong leadership and motivational skills.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Computer literate with knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
Data‑driven with high reliance on metrics for assessment of performance.
Compensation
$101,000 - $127,000
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
This position follows a standard day shift schedule, Monday through Friday onsite, with hours of 6:30 am – 2:30 pm. Additional hours may be required based on business needs.
