Part-Time-Deputy Tax SIT Clerk-(Special Inventory Tax) - County Tax Assessor/Col

Responsibilities

Accepts and processes transactions for various types of taxes, including motor vehicle and property tax payments.
Assists taxpayers and the public by responding to questions or directing them to the proper person.
Maintains knowledge of current laws and regulations relating to motor vehicles, and sales tax laws and procedures.
Files customer records, supporting documentation and information from other agencies. Prepares transaction reports, as needed for the State.
Tracks and ensures the security of State accountable items and is personally accountable for shortages.
Exceptional organizational skills: ability to retain and follow detailed instructions; be a team player.
Ability to learn and comprehend established office routines and policies from oral and written instructions.
Understanding of ethics-confidentiality issues; ability to climb ladder and occasional lifting of objects up to 50 pounds.
Requirements

High School Diploma/GED; data entry skills typing 40 Words per Minute
Deferred collections experienced required.
Salary

$15.00 hourly (29 Hours/week)
