Responsibilities
Design and coordinate plant improvements and expansion projects, emphasizing equipment automation using PLCs from conception through on‑site implementation and testing.
Develop HMI programs for automation systems using Visual Basic, C++, HMI programming languages, and SQL database applications.
Prepare project proposals and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define objectives, scope, deliverables, and budgets.
Evaluate and participate in the purchasing process for automation software, hardware, and equipment by creating and reviewing specifications, quotes, and purchasing documents.
Provide technical support to plant operations for all control systems and develop innovative systems for in‑house machinery.
Utilize CAD tools to create and interpret electrical drawings and schematics, enabling the development of computerized process control solutions.
Coordinate and oversee technical project management activities, including scheduling and resource management, using Microsoft Project.
Communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders through reports, meetings, and technical presentations.
Must‑Have Skills
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on control systems.
5-7 years of hands‑on experience in automation engineering or related fields.
Proficiency in PLC automation, HMI programming, Visual Basic, C++, and SQL database applications.
Experience with AutoCAD for electrical schematics and Computer Aided Design.
Strong project leadership skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage projects from initiation to completion.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Experience with additional programming languages or automation platforms.
Familiarity with procurement and vendor management processes for industrial equipment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Project and other project management software.
Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a technical environment.
