Responsibilities
The Project Manager plays a key role in leading and coordinating cross‑functional teams to deliver Laboratory Solutions and Robotics. This role is responsible for independently managing highly complex and high‑visibility projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in alignment with defined quality standards. Success requires close collaboration with R&D, Hardware and Software Engineering, Planning, Service, Production, Product Management, Partnership Development, Marketing, Applications, and the Advanced Product Engineering (APE) team. The role may involve occasional travel and extended hours based on project demands. A proactive mindset and the ability to adapt quickly are essential in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams (10%) – Lead and collaborate with departments across the organization to ensure successful delivery.
Define project deliverables (10%) – Work closely with teams to review user requirements and define clear, achievable deliverables that align with stakeholder expectations.
Project scheduling and monitoring (40%) – Develop detailed schedules, track progress, and proactively manage implementation. Identify and mitigate delays to keep timelines on track.
Risk management (15%) – Identify potential risks early and collaborate with teams to develop mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder communication (10%) – Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of priorities, deliverables, and timelines.
Project closure coordination (10%) – Oversee post‑delivery activities, including documentation, handover, and customer satisfaction.
Leadership focus (5%) – Build team knowledge, mentor peers, and promote knowledge exchange to support the broader Project Management team.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in project management principles, tools, and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Gantt charts).
Exceptional leadership, influence, and mentoring skills across cross‑functional teams.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). This experience is required.
Acts as a resource for resolving complex challenges and establishing project management best practices.
Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours based on project needs.
Education / Experience
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Science.
Proven experience managing cross‑functional project teams in a technical or engineering environment, preferably in laboratory robotics.
2+ years of project management experience.
PMP certification is preferred for candidates with 2 or more years of experience and required for those with 5 or more years.
