Transdev in Houston, TX is hiring a Dispatch Operations Specialist. The Dispatch Operations Specialist oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. We are seeking customer service-oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

$24.25/hour
Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks
Sick days: 5 days
Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

Key Responsibilities
Oversee the issuance of all routes and make sure the route begins on time, monitor performance, record all incidents, etc.
Insure all drivers’ licenses and DOT cards are valid.
Inspect all employees for uniform compliance.
Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding drivers including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.
Manage emergency situations for vehicles and operators, function as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred.
3-5 years’ experience of dispatching.
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements
Sit for extended periods (6-8 hours per day)
Pull or lift objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
