Dispatch Operations Specialist
Transdev in Houston, TX is hiring a Dispatch Operations Specialist. The Dispatch Operations Specialist oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients.

Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

Key Responsibilities
Oversee issuance of all routes, ensuring timely start, monitoring performance, and recording all incidents
Verify all drivers’ licenses and DOT cards are valid
Inspect employees for uniform compliance
Provide customer support by responding to questions and concerns related to drivers (e.g., no shows, cancellations, missed trips)
Manage emergency situations for vehicles and operators, acting as liaison between the carrier and emergency services
Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations impacting customer service
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred
3–5 years’ experience in dispatching
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Ability to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
Subject to DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
Physical Requirements
Sit for extended periods (6–8 hours per day)
Pull and lift objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
