Are you a dedicated Hematology-Oncology physician seeking an impactful temporary opportunity? McLaren Oakland invites experienced clinicians to provide essential outpatient care, bridging recruitment gaps and supporting our vibrant oncology and hematology clinic. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to patient care in a collaborative environment, utilizing top-tier resources and a dedicated support team.

In this vital position, you'll deliver outpatient hematology and oncology services on a part-time basis, working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including clinic call as needed. You will care for approximately 15-20 patients daily, participate in tumor boards, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team comprising oncology RNs, medical assistants, social workers, dietitians, and nurse navigators. The clinic is equipped with an infusion center, onsite CBCs, and utilizes the Cerner EMR system, ensuring efficient, high-quality patient management.

This is an excellent opportunity for physicians to engage in meaningful outpatient care, with support from a well-established practice setting and ongoing recruitment efforts for a full-time physician.

Required Skills:

• Board-certified or eligible in Hematology and Oncology
• Proven experience in outpatient hematology and oncology care
• Proficiency with EMR systems, preferably Cerner
• Ability to participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary collaborations
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in outpatient clinic settings
• Familiarity with tumor board participation
• Bilingual abilities or additional language skills

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of residency and fellowship in Hematology and Oncology
• At least 2 years of post-training outpatient practice experience
• Active medical license in Michigan or eligibility for licensure

Other Requirements:

• Availability for a start date of January 19, 2026, through July 31, 2026
• Coverage includes clinic work and call duties
• Must comply with all state and federal licensing and certification requirements
• Reimbursement for mileage, travel, and rental refueling within specified caps; no third-party lodging bookings
• Malpractice insurance coverage included
• Hourly rate (to be confirmed) plus orientation pay; hourly callback compensation when providing patient contact
