The Role
As a People Operations Specialist at Air Apps, you will be at the heart of our HR and recruiting operations. You will ensure smooth and timely delivery of key people-related processes, from recruitment and onboarding to documentation and employee support, while maintaining a compliant, well-organized, and people-first work environment.
Responsibilities
HR Operations & Employee Support: assist with day-to-day HR tasks including payroll coordination, benefits administration, and employee data management; clarify HR policies and respond to employee inquiries with empathy and accuracy; support internal HR initiatives and team communications; own recurring documentation tasks (creating/updating internal HR processes, SOPs, and templates) to ensure a compliant HR environment.
Recruitment & Hiring Support: manage end-to-end recruitment tasks (job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, process coordination); collaborate with hiring managers to track progress and maintain momentum; help create a positive candidate experience from first contact to final offer.
Onboarding: coordinate onboarding logistics, welcoming new hires and ensuring a smooth integration into the team.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and negotiating offers — ideally within a consultancy or fast-paced environment.
Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems, especially Ashby.
Proficient in LinkedIn tools (especially LinkedIn Recruiter) and familiar with other sourcing platforms and talent engagement strategies.
Experience supporting HR operations such as payroll, benefits, and employee services.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Familiarity with the US labor law framework; understanding the impact of regulations on hiring and employee operations is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication in English; Portuguese proficiency is a bonus.
