Job Summary
The Player Services/Cash Operations Shift Manager assists the Manager in the successful operation of the department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor, direct, supervise and observe cage action to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements, safeguarding casino assets and funds.

Stay knowledgeable of marketing promotions and gaming events.

Provide guest service, manage relations, and arbitrate disputes to ensure a favorable gaming experience.

Assign or modify team member shifts.

Submit all required reports at the end of each shift.

Ensure the safety and security of team members and guests; facilitate injury‑reduction programs.

Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted employment and delegate authority as needed.

Develop team members, conduct interviews, hiring, and evaluations.

Assist the Cage Manager with report preparation and other administrative duties.

Review cage activities and promotions with the Cash Operations Manager.

Ensure required facilities and equipment are available, clean, and functional.

Maintain effective communication channels upward, downward, and laterally.

Update knowledge of gaming laws, regulations, and internal controls applicable to responsibilities.

Serve as Managerial Representative on premises when authorized.

Meet with department directors and managers as necessary.

Perform other assigned duties.

Required Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated management abilities in cage profitability.

Maintain professional relationships with all personnel.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Willingness to assume overall responsibility for cage performance.

Education and Experience

Two to five years of cage operations and supervisory experience with a 2‑year degree in a related field or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Ability to obtain a Kentucky Racing License.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
The role requires frequent sitting or standing, walking, use of hands and arms for handling or operating tools, reaching, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and speaking or listening. The noise level is usually moderate to loud, and the employee may be required to circulate throughout assigned areas, including the smoking area, actively observing players and machine functioning.
