Clinical Details
- Duties: All aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of Hematology/Oncology patients
- MD oversight for Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services
- Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments
- Infusion Center provides outpatient chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood/platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies
- Hospital consults with call
- EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
- Support Staff: 1 clinic RN, 2 MAs, 2 front office clerks, 1 quality analyst/billing, and 10 infusion RNs
- midlevel provider who helps with patient flow, orders, etc
- MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions
- Admissions per day: 15-20
- Patients per day: 15-20
- Types of cases: Oncology/Hematology, all tumor types
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology
- CA License
- Fellowship
- DEA
- ACLS (only if requesting Moderate Sedation Privileges; PALS for Pediatric Patients)
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days
