Clinical Details

• Duties: All aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of Hematology/Oncology patients
• MD oversight for Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services
• Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments
• Infusion Center provides outpatient chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood/platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies
• Hospital consults with call
• EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
• Support Staff: 1 clinic RN, 2 MAs, 2 front office clerks, 1 quality analyst/billing, and 10 infusion RNs
  • midlevel provider who helps with patient flow, orders, etc
• MD can work directly with ER physician or hospitalist, for any admissions
• Admissions per day: 15-20
• Patients per day: 15-20
• Types of cases: Oncology/Hematology, all tumor types

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology
• CA License
• Fellowship
• DEA
• ACLS (only if requesting Moderate Sedation Privileges; PALS for Pediatric Patients)
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days
