Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,830 - $8,090
• Position: Locum Tenens Radiation Oncologist / Radiation Oncology Physician
• Practice Setting: Outpatient Radiation Oncology (single-physician practice)
• Location: Lorain, OH 44053 (Lorain County, near Cleveland / Lake Erie)
• Schedule: Days, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (typically up to 2 weeks at a time throughout the year)
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (dates TBD throughout the year)
• Patient Volume: 18-30 adult outpatient visits per day
• Systems: Epic (EMR) and Mosaiq (RT treatment planning)
• Travel Reimbursement: Mileage, rental car, hotel, and flight reimbursed per policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio medical license (required for locum tenens coverage)
• Board Certified in Radiation Oncology
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Radiation Oncology
• BLS and ACLS certification
• Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days of presentation)
• Experience with outpatient radiation oncology workflows and patient-centered care

Key Responsibilities

• Provide vacation and short-term locum tenens coverage for a single-physician outpatient radiation oncology practice
• Deliver radiation therapy including conventional radiotherapy, 3D radiotherapy, external beam radiation, IMRT, and IGRT
• Perform patient evaluations, order tests/imaging, prescribe treatments, and manage follow-up care for adult oncology patients
• Collaborate closely with 1 APP and clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Document clinical encounters and treatment notes in Epic and manage RT treatment plans in Mosaiq
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and patient communication in an outpatient radiation oncology setting
