Structural Steel Project Manager (AISC Fabrication)
A successful Steel Fabricator that is looking to add a seasoned Steel Project Manager to their team. The right candidate would have experience in structural steel fabrication and/or erection. Our client company fabricates structural steel for multiple projects in commercial construction.
Responsibilities
Manage structural and miscellaneous steel projects from cradle to grave.
Ensure all contractual terms and obligations are met.
Participate in contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
Communicate with clients to address job needs and improve customer satisfaction.
Interpret contract drawings, specifications, bulletins, and addendums.
Coordinate with contractors, erectors, suppliers, and vendors to resolve barriers.
Prepare cost estimates for change orders and drawing revisions.
Purchase buyout items such as joists, decking, grating, and related materials.
Create and manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, and project correspondence.
Monitor project costs, profitability, schedules, and budgets.
Visit job sites as required, including limited out-of-state travel.
Develop and maintain customer relationships for future work.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
Proven experience and strong knowledge in project management.
Familiarity with contract management processes.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
Experience supervising cross-functional teams and managing resources.
Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, and Tekla PowerFab (preferred).
Knowledge of building codes and standards for structural and miscellaneous steel.
Compensation & Benefits
$90,000 - $120,000+ base salary
