Job Summary
An ATS Group Operations Supervisor/Manager is responsible for the development and leadership of a team of Project Engineers and Technicians. It is anticipated that this position will be 25-40% supervision, while performing actual project work for the balance of the time. Supervisors/Managers are able to design, and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project requirements and provide analysis of building control and mechanical system performance as a complete systems and campus level. This is an exempt position.

Duties and Responsibilities

Control System Design and Programming

Ensure proper engineering, start up, commissioning, closeout of assigned projects

Assist in development/management of department initiatives

Overall fiscal responsibility of assigned projects

Overall labor planning for group

Ensure assigned projects are completed on time and within budget

Participate in quarterly goal reviews with direct reports

Participate in performance appraisals

Training/development plans for individual direct reports

Skills and Abilities

Strong communication skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits

Knowledge of DDC Control Theory and Applications

Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Autocad skills

Programming skills

Strong analytical skills

Strong interactive and communication skills

Position Type and Hours

Full‑time, exempt

Typical Monday – Friday working hours with flexibility as needed

Local travel required, up to 30% of the time with occasional out‑of‑state travel

Credentials and Experience

AA degree in applied technology and/or undergraduate degree preferred

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Computer programming experience

Building Mechanical System and Troubleshooting experience

5+ years industry experience (minimum)
