HSE Specialist II
Experienced level professional safety position. Field-based role supporting the implementation of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs by collaborating with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and customer representatives. Responsible for site inspections, hazard identification, incident investigations, training, and compliance documentation to promote a safe work environment. Contributes to planning, audits, and safety initiatives to align with company and regulatory standards and provides recommendations and escalations as needed.

What You'll Do
Collaborate with internal teams, client representatives, regulatory agencies, and medical facilities to maintain effective working relationships.
Support and promote the company's safety program and local incident prevention initiatives to reduce risk behaviors.
Implement project-based safety programs aligned with strategic goals.
Contribute to pre-task planning and job site safety meetings.
Coach and teach duties and processes to more junior team members.
Prepare and deliver safety meetings and training to enhance hazard awareness.
Contribute to, and make recommendations for, the development and review of job hazard analyses to identify risks and control measures.
Support incident, near-miss, and claim investigations and communications.
Maintain thorough knowledge of company HSE standards, programs, and objectives.
Model HSE goals to ensure a safe and productive environment.
Assist in developing routine HSE project plans and specifications.
Provide input and guidance supporting audits, inspections, evaluations, and incident investigations.
Maintain required reports and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory standards.
What You'll Need To Be Successful
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred.
Professional verbal and written communication skills.
Professional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Advanced organizational skills and attention to detail.
Thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, and supporting administrative practices.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
Self‑motivated, proactive and an effective team player.
Effective coaching abilities.
Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees within regional business unit, vendors, clients, and others.
What You Bring To Us
4‑year related degree and 2 years’ experience and STS‑C or 5 years relevant experience and CHST.
Ability to spend 80% of working time on active construction sites.
Travel
Up to 100% as needed.
Working Conditions
General work environment – sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.
