
Substance Abuse Counselor - Per Diem

Job Summary
This per diem role provides therapy to clinicians in recovery. Requires a Master's degree (MSW preferred) and at least two years of related experience. Prior drug and alcohol counseling experience supporting licensed professionals in recovery is strongly preferred.
Job Duties
Functions as primary care manager at all levels of counseling care as needed, providing chemical dependency services to patients and their families in accordance with established policies and professional standards.
Responsible for carrying out all relevant charting requirements.
Facilitating group therapy, individual and family therapy.
Presents educational lectures to patients and family members.
Coordinates case management responsibilities with outside agencies and coordinates discharge planning.
Observes all applicable facility policies and procedures.
Coordinates treatment planning process through the multidisciplinary team.
Participates in department quality improvement activities.
Position Details
Education: Master's Degree in Social Sciences (Required)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years related work experience (Required)
