Description
This is a full‑time inpatient pharmacy technician position located at Ball Memorial Hospital in Munice, IN. The position will work a 7 days on, 7 days off schedule with a typical shift of 8 pm–6:30 am. The role requires working every other weekend.

Under pharmacist supervision, the technician supports the pharmacy department in areas such as inventory, preparation, distribution, compounding, processing of medications and supplies, specialty medications, and medication histories. Responsibilities include answering telephones, taking refill orders, entering orders into the system, preparing medications for pharmacist check, and preparing medications for disbursement/shipment/delivery. Key duties may also include handling supplies, stocking prepackaged items, maintaining inventory, delivering supplies, maintaining records, distributing supplies, assisting in bulk compounding and preparation of I.V. solutions, and working with pharmacy staff to minimize the potential for medication errors.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.

Indiana Pharmacy Tech‑in‑Training, Indiana Pharmacy Technician License, or intern/extern license if enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy.

Pharmacy Technician National Certification within one year of hire unless enrolled in an accredited college of pharmacy or graduated from an ASHP/ACPE accredited Pharmacy Technician training program.

No criminal history related to the ability to work with drugs.

Strong mathematical calculation skills.

Ability to learn basic pharmacy technician skills in assigned areas and work under close supervision or clearly defined procedures.

Effective written and communication skills.

Customer service skills.

Basic proficiency typing and using Microsoft Office applications.
