Overview
Canton Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team. This position is PRN. Responsibilities
Conduct speech-language evaluations and assessments to diagnose and treat communication disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Provide speech therapy interventions, including individual and group sessions, under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Maintain accurate and timely records of patient treatment and progress
Qualifications
A master's degree in speech-language pathology is required
Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care
Ability to lift, transfer, and move patients as needed
Experience in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting is a plus
