Job Overview
The Medical Assistant (MA II) works under the delegation of a licensed practitioner to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. The MA II performs all aspects of the Associate Medical Assistant (MA I) role and is fully competent in the clinical needs and functions for the assigned clinic/location. The MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program that includes hands‑on clinical training.
Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program.
Completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or equivalent education/experience.
Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant, including obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration.
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association certification required within 30 days of hire.
At least 6 months of healthcare experience.
At least 6 months of medical assistant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
National Medical Assistant certification upon hire.
