Position Description
The RBT/CBT provides direct 1:1 ABA therapy services to clients with autism spectrum disorder or other related developmental disabilities, under the guidance of a BCBA. The RBT delivers services in clients’ homes or clinic settings. The RBT will be responsible for implementing treatment plans, collecting data, maintaining clinical notes, attending client‑related staffing meetings, and following all procedures in compliance with FABS treatment protocols. Additional program‑management responsibilities may be assigned by the BCBA.
The RBT/CBT will be required to work with individuals who engage in challenging behavior, which may include aggression, self‑injurious behavior, property destruction, elopement, or tantrums.
Minimum Requirements
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and Certified Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent
Reliable source of transportation and a valid driver’s license
Must pass a criminal background check
Strong interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain relationships
Able to work in a variety of environments including home, community, and clinic settings
Be able to manage high‑stress situations
Preferred Qualifications
2–3 years of clinical experience in a position that utilizes ABA
CPR, BLS certified
Washington State CBT
Licensed RBT with the BACB
