Facility in Altoona, PA seeking Cardiac Surgery APP locums coverage Rates: $150/hr Opportunity Highlights 
- Schedule: Primarily Monday Friday, 7:30 AM 4:00 PM.
- Call Potential: Possible need for weeknight and 24-hour weekend call (reserved for OR emergencies). Please indicate call availability in your presentation.
- Team Environment: Work alongside an experienced Cardiac Surgeon in a collaborative, hospital-based clinic setting.
- EMR: Epic Bridges.
- Privileging: Full privileges available with an estimated 60-day timeframe.
- Inpatient Care: Early morning ICU rounding on post-operative patients, followed by hospital floor consults and charting.
- Operating Room: Serving as OR 1st Assistant for a variety of cardiac cases. Vein harvesting experience is highly preferred.
- Outpatient Clinic: Mid-day clinic (typically 11:00 AM 3:00 PM) focusing on wound checks, suture/staple removal, wound vac placement, and pre/post-op evaluations.
- Tele-medicine: Coordinating video visits with the Pittsburgh Thoracic team to assess patients for local management versus transfer for surgical intervention.
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
- AVR, MVR, TVR (Valve Replacements/Repairs)
- Convergence procedures and Myxoma removal
- Pericardial windows
- Credential: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in Cardiac Surgery. Must have proficiency in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Board Status: Board Certified (Required).
- Licensure: Active Pennsylvania State License (Required). IMLC is considered.
- Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS (Required).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in vein harvesting and surgical first-assisting is a significant advantage.
