About The Role
Hims & Hers is seeking a detail‑oriented Compliance Pharmacist to support our Dispense & Fulfillment pharmacy operations within our 503A environment. In this role, you will partner closely with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and pharmacy leadership to ensure that dispensing, fulfillment, and pharmacy operations meet all applicable federal and state regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in strengthening operational compliance, maintaining regulatory readiness, and fostering a culture of quality and patient safety as we scale.

This role reports directly to the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).

What You’ll Do

Support the PIC in ensuring compliance with all applicable state board of pharmacy regulations, federal requirements, and internal policies

Ensure active state pharmacist licensure in applicable jurisdictions and fulfill backup PIC responsibilities as needed.

Oversee compliance within dispensing and fulfillment workflows, including:

Prescription verification and final check processes

Labeling accuracy and regulatory labeling requirements

Documentation standards and record retention

Controlled substance handling (if applicable)

Design, implement, and maintain a self‑inspection program for dispensing and fulfillment operations

Partner with operations to ensure workflows are compliant, scalable, and audit‑ready

Complete and maintain Board of Pharmacy compliance checklists and implement corrective actions as needed

Assist in maintaining pharmacy licensure, registrations, DEA compliance, and regulatory documentation

Participate in and facilitate Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities in accordance with SOPs

Monitor regulatory updates and assess impact on dispensing and fulfillment operations

Support investigation of dispensing errors, near‑misses, and quality events; contribute to root cause analysis (RCA) and CAPA development

Ensure policies and SOPs related to dispensing, shipping, storage, and fulfillment are current and regulatory‑aligned

Oversee compliance related to prescription transfers and multi‑state dispensing requirements

Prepare for and support state board inspections, internal audits, and third‑party assessments

Track and ensure timely resolution of inspection findings and audit observations

Partner cross‑functionally with Pharmacy Operations, Quality, Legal, and Supply Chain to proactively mitigate compliance risk

Escalate significant compliance risks or trends to the PIC

This role is critical to maintaining regulatory excellence, operational integrity, and patient safety across dispensing and fulfillment operations.

What You Bring

2 years of pharmacy dispense and fulfillment experience

Pharmacy degree from an ACPE‑accredited school of pharmacy

Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of practice

Willingness and eligibility to obtain reciprocal licenses as needed

Experience in pharmacy operations, dispensing, compliance, or quality roles

Strong working knowledge of USP, state board of pharmacy regulations applicable to 503A pharmacies

Strong working knowledge of Federal pharmacy regulations (including DEA requirements, if applicable), record‑keeping and documentation standards

Experience supporting audits, inspections, or regulatory inquiries

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills

Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical, scalable operational processes

Willingness to travel to sister sites as needed for training

Nice to Have

Prior experience serving as a Designated Person (DP)

Experience in high‑growth or regulated healthcare environments

Experience in automated pharmacy dispensing systems

Background in working with cross‑functional teams including quality and legal

Advanced training or certification in compounding or pharmacy quality
