Position Overview
Soilcea is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Lab Technician to support our cutting‑edge research in citrus biotechnology.
This position offers hands‑on experience in CRISPR‑Cas9 gene editing workflows and plant tissue culture techniques, contributing directly to the development of disease‑resistant citrus varieties.
The ideal candidate will have a background in life sciences and a passion for laboratory work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in Agrobacterium‑mediated plant transformations
Support tissue culture and regeneration of citrus plants
Maintain plant materials and lab inventory
Prepare media and reagents for experiments
Perform general lab maintenance including dishwashing and cleaning
Follow safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organized workspace
Required Qualifications
Familiarity with basic lab techniques and sterile procedures preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
Willingness to learn and contribute to a team‑oriented research environment
