Job Overview
RN IV Specialist is accountable for direct and indirect patient care through the use of the Nursing Process. Serves as a role model in IV therapy modalities, vascular access, organization and continuous improvements. Additionally, the IV Specialist assumes responsibilities designed to improve the quality of self‑care of a specific patient population through education of patients, families, and hospital staff. Must be self‑directed and have excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
This role focuses on providing IV therapy, managing vascular access, and continuously improving processes related to IV care.
Qualifications
Registered nurse in good standing in the state of Arkansas.
Health‑care CPR required; ACLS is strongly encouraged (training provided).
One year registered nurse experience required, preferably in the ED or Critical Care.
BSN preferred.
Work Hours
Authorized for 80.00 hours bi‑weekly.
Location
PICC Team, BHMC – North Little Rock
