The S&P Dow Jones Indices intern program is a three‑month, full‑time position beginning around June 2026. It seeks high‑achieving students from undergraduate and postgraduate institutions. Interns will work within the Operations Group, gaining exposure to multiple teams and real‑world industry scenarios. They will develop dashboards and data visualizations, lead meetings, understand and provide feedback on critical processes, manage projects and deadlines, and maintain key relationships within index operations.

Roles & Responsibilities

Build dashboards and data visualizations that gather and display operational information for data‑driven decision making.

Lead recurring meetings to share progress on key launches.

Understand critical processes and workflows to provide feedback and enhancements.

Manage projects and deadlines.

Maintain key relationships within index operations.

Compensation / Benefits Information
Hourly wage: USD 25 – 30. Final compensation will be based on geographic location, experience, skills, training, licenses, and certifications.

Qualifications

Current student (rising senior) graduating Summer 2027 from an accredited university or college.

All majors eligible; Business Administration, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, and Finance majors preferred.

Coursework in mathematics, quantitative methods, econometrics, and related quantitative areas.

Proficiency in data visualization applications (Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

Ability to work independently on projects.

Demonstrated analytical and quantitative capabilities.

Ability to learn quickly, multi‑task, and work in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

Understanding of financial markets.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Basic knowledge of programming languages such as VBA, Python, or SQL (not required).
