Responsibilities
Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history.
Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
Implement physical therapy treatment plans using techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration.
Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and accurately document in the medical record.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals for coordinated care.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention and self‑management.
Maintain a safe treatment environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to stay current with best practices.
Collaborate in discharge planning for smooth transitions to community or home settings.
Perform other duties as required within the scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with Alabama regulations.
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate degree in physical therapy.
Experience in physical therapy; new graduates welcome.
Other certifications or licenses as required for the position.

Excellent interpersonal communication.
English reading, writing and verbal communication.
Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficiency in PC skills.
Physical: able to remain in stationary position, move equipment 50–100 lbs, push, pull, bend.

Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, handle irregular schedules.
