Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Clinician based in Baton Rouge, LA. The EAP Clinician will provide support to clients by conducting assessments, delivering short-term counseling, and offering referrals for additional services if needed. The role will involve working closely with individuals, couples, and families to address workplace issues, manage mental health and substance use concerns, and develop strategies for improved well-being. Administrative tasks and maintaining proper documentation are also key components of the role.
Qualifications
Skills in mental health counseling and crisis intervention
Ability to assess for substance use issues
Experience in employee assistance programs (EAP) and workplace issues preferred
Strong communication, empathy, and active listening abilities
Knowledge of available community resources and referral processes
Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Proficiency in documentation and compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required
State licensure/provisional licenure to provide mental health services is required
