Overview
As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting physical therapists by ensuring treatment areas and equipment are prepared and sanitized, escorting patients to and from treatment areas, and observing basic exercises under the direction of physical therapists. You will be responsible for maintaining clinic organization and patient readiness, as well as enhancing the overall patient experience and throughput.

Responsibilities
Prepare treatment areas and equipment for physical therapy sessions.
Clean and sanitize rooms between patients to maintain a safe environment.
Escort patients to and from treatment areas, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Observe and support basic exercises under the direction of physical therapists (non-clinical tasks).
Maintain clinic organization and ensure patient readiness.
Enhance the patient experience and throughput by providing excellent customer service.
Essential Skills
Strong customer service skills.
Interest in physical therapy and familiarity with physical therapy exercises.
Knowledge of exercise.
Experience in medical assisting and patient care.
Dependability, and a personable demeanor.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.
Strong teamwork mentality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Interest in pursuing a career path in physical therapy or healthcare.
Transitioned from undergrad with intentions of entering PT school.
Work Environment
You will be part of a dynamic team of six providers, with two full-time staff in the office. The work schedule spans from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Thursday, and from 7 am to 5 pm on Fridays, with no weekend shifts. The clinic features one large room where staff rotate shifts, including early morning and late afternoon hours. After a period of rotation, shifts become consistent. The environment is fast-paced and requires a high level of energy and teamwork.

Pay and Benefits
Pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
