
Machine Operator (Entry Level)

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team in Brooklyn. This is an entry-level position, but we are looking for candidates who have a foundational understanding of machinery and a
“safety-first”
mindset. You will be responsible for the setup, operation, and basic maintenance of production equipment to ensure we meet our daily output goals.
Compensation & Schedule
Salary: $19.90 - $27.00 per hour
Shift: Second
Work Hours: 3 PM – 11 PM
Education: High School
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up, start, and monitor machinery to ensure smooth production runs.
Quality Control: Perform regular inspections of finished products to ensure they meet company specifications and quality standards.
Troubleshooting: Identify and report any mechanical issues or inconsistencies in the production process.
Maintenance: Perform basic cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of production numbers, material usage, and any incidents.
Safety: Adhere to all OSHA and company safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Requirements & Physical Demands
Experience:
Previous experience operating industrial machinery is
required .
Preferred Skills:
Experience with Flexographic, printing, lamination, or packing machines is highly encouraged.
Physical Stamina:
Must be able to stand and move for the full 8‑hour shift.
Lifting:
Must be able to comfortably lift and carry up to
50 lbs .
Reliability:
Consistent attendance for the 3 PM – 11 PM shift is essential.
Flexibility:
Ability to work occasional overtime based on production demands.
Skills Needed
Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals or instructions.
Basic math skills for measurements and production counting.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
