Mental Health Technician – Admissions
Position Overview
Assist in creating a safe, supportive environment for patients in the Admissions Department, providing direct and indirect care, promoting wellness, de‑escalating difficult situations, and serving as a role model.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the care of patients individually and in groups.
Participate in de‑escalation efforts to ensure patient safety and well‑being.
Demonstrate effective problem‑solving, decision‑making, and coping skills to consumers.
Help facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that promote mental and emotional well‑being.
Job Type / Salary
Primary Work Hours:
Opening 1: Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat 7:00 – 3:00 pm
Opening 2: Sun/Wed/Fri/Sat 7:00 – 5:00 am
Hourly Rates:
Level I: $14.10 per hour
Level II: $15.28 per hour
Potential to earn extra:
$0.50 per hour for evenings and nights
$0.75 per hour for weekends and holidays
$1.00 per hour shift pay for any shift worked (stackable with evening/weekend pay)
FLSA Status: Non‑Exempt

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Strong commitment to patient well‑being and safety.
Belief that recovery is possible.
Level II: One year of behavioral health patient‑care experience required.
Special Requirements
Conditional offer requires a physical examination; must meet requirements for occasionally lifting/carrying 50 lb and pushing/pulling a maximum force of 25 lb.
Willing and able to fulfill job‑related travel as necessary; must have a valid driver’s license.
