We Are Looking For
We are hiring a Medical Assistant who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
Assist providers with exams, vitals, procedures, and direct patient care under supervision and within scope of practice.
Administer medications per policy and provider direction, adhering to safety protocols.
Perform blood draws and, as directed, urine collection for testing, including employer drug screens.
Perform splinting, casting, sports physicals, ear lavage, wound care, and oxygen administration.
Notify the provider on duty promptly of unusual patient events, including medication errors.
Notify the clinic manager of any safety concerns.
Follow laboratory and accreditation policies.
Be proficient in EMR/EHR systems.
Perform other duties as assigned.
As a Medical Assistant you may also support front‑office duties such as tracking patient wait times, managing flow, processing discharges, collecting payment, and issuing receipts.
Essential Education, Experience & Skills
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Program Requirements:
Completed an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
OR completed a non‑accredited program and obtained one of the following certifications: AAMA CMA, AMT RMA, or NHA CCMA.
OR completed a non‑accredited program and worked as a medical assistant for at least one year, or has at least 2,000 supervised work‑hours or one year of direct clinical experience.
Other MA education and experience may be considered with approval.
