We are seeking a skilled Optometrist for a 240-day assignment in Montana, starting Jun 1, 2026. The schedule offers flexibility with either a full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule, or a 1 week on/1 week off rotation. This role involves performing comprehensive eye examinations, handling acute evaluations, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy screenings, and making specialty referrals.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform routine comprehensive eye examinations.
- Conduct acute evaluations for eye irritation and foreign bodies.
- Provide glaucoma screening and treatment.
- Perform diabetic retinopathy screening utilizing a JVN imaging system.
- Manage referrals to specialty ophthalmology services.
- Note: No surgical services are performed onsite.
- Maintain an average daily patient volume of approximately 1214 patients.
- Manage appointment lengths ranging from 20 to 30 minutes depending on visit type.
