
Supervisor Patient Care - Medical Oncology

Overview
The PCS is under the direct supervision of Nursing Leadership and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, organizing, and evaluating the effectiveness of day-to-day infusion center operations in accordance with health system objectives, policies, standards, and rules/regulations. Under the indirect supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the PCS is responsible for providing the community with access to high-quality, affordable outpatient infusion services and preserving the treatment center’s financial sustainability. The PCS will collaborate with the Director to interview and train all new employees. The PCS will utilize independent decision making, frequently while monitoring operations with minimal assistance/supervision. The PCS will ensure the patients are receiving highly specialized ambulatory infusion/injection services and additional nursing support with specialty medications (i.e., chemotherapy, biotherapy, blood products etc.) to patients while maintaining the highest professional standards of care.
Experience
Three (3) years’ relevant work experience. Two (2) years chemotherapy and biologics administration experience.
Special Skills
Ambulatory infusion therapy services experience. Management/ supervisory experience.
Other
Excellent decision making, problem solving, organization, independence of action, written/oral communication, teamwork, customer service and information technology skills.

Required: Associates - Nursing, Preferred: Bachelors - Nursing
