Schedule
- Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts
- Call: Rotating night and weekend call
- Call Ratio: 1:6
PracticeSetting
- Mix of inpatient, outpatient clinic, and call coverage
- Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
- EMR: Epic
- Inpatient Admissions: 12-15 per physician per day
ClinicalResponsibilities
- Provide non-invasive cardiology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Manage complex cardiac patients, including those with advanced heart failure
- Participate in rounding, consults, and admissions
- Provide call coverage for nights and weekends on a rotating basis
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic
Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Active Virginia medical license (or ability to obtain)
- ACLS certification
- DEA license
- Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) Fellowship preferred
- LVAD (Ventricular Assist Device) experience required/certified
