
Pharmacy Tech Part-Time

Job Summary
This is a part‑time Pharmacy Technician position covering mid and evening rotating shifts (mid shift 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., evening shift 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.) at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals, primarily Tuesday–Thursday.
Responsibilities
Perform duties associated with Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs)
Accurately perform and document monthly medication storage area inspections as assigned
Accurately perform required calculations
Accurately and safely compound and label medications and parenteral admixtures
Always utilize aseptic techniques in the preparation of parenteral compounding
Comply with all USP 795, 797, 800 daily/monthly requirements (e.g., cleaning laminar airflow cabinets and biological safety cabinets, wearing personal protective equipment)
Identify critical issues, prioritize workload, and communicate to appropriate personnel in a timely manner
Complete all education requirements and/or other activities needed to maintain competency
Interact in person and by phone with hospital personnel politely and appropriately
Perform other duties as assigned
Practice and adhere to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission and Value Statement"
Qualifications
National Certification (PTCB or NHA) required
Texas State Board Registration required (Registered Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Intern)
IV certification preferred
IV room experience a plus
1–3 years of hospital experience preferred
Associate's Degree or equivalent level of education preferred
