Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain thorough familiarity with treatment protocols, response requirements and quality assurance procedures in the system assigned.
Maintain awareness of all changes in the system components and company policy.
Maintain the level and type of certification(s) consistent with performing tasks in the system to which assigned.
Comply with all state and company requirements for operation of motor vehicles.
Operate a company vehicle in accordance with company policy and safe practices.
Develop ability to locate addresses quickly and safely through knowledge of number systems and street layouts.
Ensure that the unit remains in a state of readiness in terms of mechanical reliability, medical supply and equipment, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
Report immediately any discrepancies in vehicle or equipment standards that could compromise the unit’s ability to complete a call.
Complete all appropriate documentation as outlined in company policy.
Report all problems and unusual occurrences immediately to Supervisor.
Maintain a professional appearance by adhering to hygiene and uniform standards.
Attend all mandatory in‑services.
Other duties as defined on the job description.
Other Potential Assignments
Participate in community programs to maintain AMR image and establish strong community relations.
Deploy on Wildland Fires.
Deploy on a Disaster Response Team with FEMA.
Deploy with local SWAT teams.
Provide medical at multiple events throughout the county.
Requirements
National Registry EMT certification.
Montana State EMT Certification within 60 days of hire.
BLS CPR certification.
Driving record in compliance with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
Obtain EMT endorsement during the training period.
