Our Veterinary Assistants are crucial in delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate care: Utilize technical skills for diagnostic sample collection, venipuncture, radiography, medication, and fluid administration.
Maintain cleanliness: Ensure a clean and orderly facility by organizing and cleaning as a regular duty.
Assist in medical procedures: Help with patient procedures, surgeries, anesthetic induction and monitoring, and pre/post‑operative care.
Support doctors: Enhance the efficiency of doctors by anticipating their needs, aiding in medical care, record‑keeping, and client communication.
Collaborate with the team: Contribute to a supportive team environment, assisting with various roles, including customer service tasks.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in basic office functions within a busy environment.
Genuine love for animals and the ability to handle them with care, even when stressed, ill, or in pain.
Flexibility to meet clinic, patient, and staff needs with a positive attitude.
Professionalism and respect in interactions with team members.
Calm and efficient during medical crises.
Mature approach to job duties and excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and non‑verbal).
Physical capability to lift and restrain pets weighing at least 40 pounds and work on feet for most of the day.
