
Research Technician I - Psychological and Brain Sciences

Position Summary
This is a full research assistant position to work on research investigating spatial navigation and the role of sleep and physical activity in younger adults and older adults with and without risk of Alzheimer disease using a real-world environment.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Recruit study participants for multiple study sessions.
Run participants through research protocol, including spatial navigation assessment at the St. Louis Art Museum, actigraphy, cognitive testing, and self-report questionnaires.
Data management, including checking for timeliness and completeness, logging, and entering data.
Organize data sets to be shared with various members of the research team.
Process and QC data, including actigraphy and cognitive data.
Coordinate undergraduate research assistants.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Job Location/Working Conditions:
Normal office environment.
This position requires traveling between the Danforth, St. Louis Art Museum, and WashU Medicine, as well as transporting blood samples between locations at WashU Medicine.
Physical Effort
Typically sitting at a desk or table.

High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.

Strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to work independently, and take initiative.
Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education. - Social Sciences
