About This Position
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Nights, 12 hour shift schedule
Night shift pay differential included
Sign‑on bonus of $30,000 to eligible external candidates
Weekend requirement of every 3rd weekend
Participate in bedside rounds & be a patient advocate
Location: Bloomington Hospital
Our Respiratory Therapists work closely with patients to evaluate and treat cardiopulmonary disorders and collaborate with nurses, advanced respiratory therapists, and clinical specialists to ensure total patient care.
Requirements
Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana
Graduation from a CoARC‑ and regionally accredited respiratory care program
Pass the N.B.R.C. registry exam within 6 months of hire (except for those more than one year post‑graduation)
Healthcare Provider Certification; additional advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department
Preferred ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP
Strong customer service skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle confidential patient information
Basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR
