Overview
This position, under the general direction of the Office of Research, is responsible for the complete coordination of patient interactions required of patients enrolled in research protocols. These coordinating activities are defined by the various research agencies. This position is also responsible for facilitating the accrual of patients onto protocols.
Responsibilities
Coordinate patient interactions required for patients enrolled in research protocols, as defined by the respective research agencies.
Facilitate patient accrual onto protocols.
Provide patient care as part of the role.
Maintain a high degree of accuracy in safeguarding research protocols; function independently; negotiate with physicians and staff to enroll patients and ensure protocol compliance.

Provide care based on physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety considerations appropriate to the age of the patient served.

Highly organized with the ability to function independently.
Flexible schedule; ability to travel occasionally to collaborating physician offices to meet with providers, staff, and patients where they are receiving care.
Minimum Qualifications
Education : Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. BSN preferred.
Experience : Previous experience in research protocols preferred.
License(s) : Ability to obtain and maintain a State of Nevada Registered Nurse license.
Certification(s) : AHA BLS certification required. Human Subject Protection Certificate required.
Computer / Typing : Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and able to use computer for online learning, online forms and policies, and benefits enrollment.
