AnMed Medical Center invites experienced Urology physicians to join our distinguished locum pool, providing critical coverage to support our commitment to exceptional patient care. In this vital position, you will provide 24-hour call coverage in a fast-paced hospital environment, handling adult and geriatric patients exclusively, including emergency department and inpatient cases. You'll perform a range of urological procedures such as ureteroscopy, laparoscopic surgeries, nephrectomy, partial nephrectomies, and incontinence procedures, among others. The facility is equipped with onsite lab and X-ray services, with a trauma level II designation, ensuring a challenging and fulfilling practice setting.

Required Skills:
  • Medical degree and board certification or eligibility in Urology
  • Active medical license in South Carolina or eligible for licensure
  • Proficiency in Ureteroscopy, Laparoscopic Surgeries, Trauma management, and General Urology
  • Strong clinical assessment and procedural skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage hospital-based surgeries and emergencies
  • Excellent communication and record-keeping skills with proficiency in EMR systems (Epic preferred)

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience in intraoperative ultrasound and trauma team involvement
  • Previous locum or hospital-based practice experience
  • Additional certifications or specialized training in minimally invasive procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years of post-residency clinical experience in Urology
  • Prior experience working in hospital or ED settings with trauma involvement

Other Requirements:
  • Credentialing process estimated to take approximately 60 days
  • Ability to work 24-hour call shifts, with flexible availability for scheduled coverage
  • Reimbursements for travel, lodging, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rates
