About the Role
The role assists claimants with completing the Security Disability application, asking personal questions to obtain necessary information about their disability and qualifications for benefits. Calls typically last 30‑45 minutes. The Applicant Call Representative must demonstrate patience and empathy and ensure the application is completed fully and accurately.
Compensation
The range is $14.50 – $18.00 per hour, with an opportunity to earn a performance‑based bonus up to $750 per month.
Remote hiring areas
Non‑MN pays $14.50 per hour.
Hiring States
Minnesota, Georgia, Iowa, Texas, South Dakota, Kansas.
Terms
Full‑time. This is an hourly, non‑exempt position.
Hours of Operation
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CST.
Responsibilities
Complete the online application for the claimant.
Ask a series of personal medical questions.
Use several systems concurrently to complete the process: website, internal, and order‑management systems.
Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and patience.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Meet productivity and quality goals.
Use call‑management software to answer calls and adhere to the specified schedule, including breaks.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a call‑center environment.
Customer‑service oriented with demonstrated ability to show empathy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Patience and a desire to help others.
Attention to detail.
Ability to achieve high productivity and quality standards.
Proficient working knowledge of Windows OS, Internet, and related software.
Bonus: bilingual in English/Spanish.
