About the Role


The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to serve as the senior physician leader in the market. The CMO will be responsible for medical and clinical staff alignment and engagement, market strategy, and finance and operations-related topics. This pivotal role involves leading the organization in bringing the clinical voice forward, acting as a patient advocate, and overseeing care transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will also be tasked with mentoring and developing physician and clinical leadership, ensuring continuous quality improvement in care delivery, and providing strategic and operational direction to enhance patient safety and care.

Key responsibilities for the CMO include leading and implementing the clinical care model, managing effective care delivery, and driving top decile performance in quality and patient experience. The role also involves overseeing a range of strategic initiatives in clinical quality, performance improvement, patient safety, and experience, as well as collaborating with leaders to develop innovative approaches to care delivery. The CMO will be a key advisor to executive leadership on policy development and long-term goals, with a focus on achieving clinical excellence and financial stewardship. A California state Medical Board license is required, along with a Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field, and a Master’s degree in a related discipline is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of management experience in a healthcare system and 10 years of experience as a practicing physician.
