Responsibilities
Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IV lines.
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
Initiate corrective action whenever monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
Requirements
1–2 years recent acute care experience.
ACLS certification.
BLS certification.
Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle patients who may weigh up to 50 pounds.
Strong stress‑management skills and ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
Pay Package
Pay is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
