Responsibilities
Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
Change dressings, insert catheters and start intravenous lines.
Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
Initiate corrective action whenever monitoring equipment indicates adverse symptomatology.
Assist in the care of patients requiring close monitoring but who are not unstable enough for ICU care.
Qualifications
1-2 years recent acute care experience.
ACLS certification.
BLS certification.
NIH certification (required).
2 years of RN experience (minimum).
*Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
