• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,830 - $8,090
• Practice Setting: Inpatient cardiology, outpatient cardiology, clinic, and call coverage
• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks (locum tenens assignment)
• Shift: Varied day shifts, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
• On-Call: Night & weekend rotating call (1:6 call ratio)

Required Qualifications

• Board-Certified Physician in Cardiology (Non-Invasive)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in non-invasive cardiology
• Advanced Heart Failure (AHF) fellowship with LVAD/LVAD experience required
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD/LVAD) certification or documented experience
• ACLS certification
• Active Virginia medical license and current DEA license
• Self-query NPDB report (pulled within 30 days)
• Clean background check (temporary hire options possible)
• Provider must be local (mileage reimbursed only)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver non-invasive cardiology care to adult and geriatric patients across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings
• Perform and interpret electrocardiograms (EKGs) and other non-invasive cardiac testing
• Manage inpatient admissions (average 12-15 per day) and clinic panels (average 10 patients/day)
• Supervise and provide clinical oversight for 4 Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)
• Participate in rotating night and weekend cardiology call coverage (1:6)
• Document patient care using EPIC EMR and collaborate with on-site cardiology team
• Coordinate care for advanced heart failure and LVAD patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
