Senior-Level Technician
We are currently seeking a senior-level technician to support our growing operations. This role is best suited for highly experienced technicians who can lead service calls, handle complex diagnostics, and serve as a resource to other technicians in the field.
Position Overview
This position focuses on the service, repair, and maintenance of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, with an emphasis on advanced troubleshooting and independent problem-solving. Senior technicians are expected to operate with a high level of autonomy, provide guidance to junior team members, and support overall service quality across the team.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach‑ins, ice machines, RTUs, and split systems
Lead service calls and take ownership of difficult or escalated issues
Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls in a timely manner
Identify electrical, mechanical, and control‑related issues and implement effective solutions
Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior and mid‑level technicians
Provide guidance on best practices, troubleshooting approaches, and safety standards
Communicate clearly with dispatch, customers, and internal teams
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all EPA and safety regulations
Qualifications Required
8+ years of hands‑on experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
Strong background in advanced troubleshooting and system diagnostics
Proven ability to work independently and lead service calls from start to finish
Experience mentoring or training other technicians
Solid understanding of electrical systems, controls, and refrigeration cycles
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check
Preferred
EPA Universal Certification
Additional certifications (NATE, manufacturer training, etc.)
Experience working in restaurant, retail, or multi‑site commercial environments
Ability to communicate professionally with customers and explain technical issues clearly
Great to Have
Experience with commercial cooking equipment (hot side)
Exposure to broader mechanical systems (ventilation, boilers, etc.)
