Epic EMR, rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
Unit type:
Post-surgical recovery on a 40-bed inpatient unit (pre- and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients)
Patient ratio:
Day/PM 1:4-1:5, nights 1:5-1:7; unit occupancy 90-95% during the week; average LOS 2-3 days (except joints)
Color for scrub:
any
Unbillable low census:
36 hours per week; travelers can be put on call; called back results in call-back pay
