Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 37-bed Med-Surg unit, in collaboration with the RN and multidisciplinary team.
Administer medications and perform routine nursing procedures within LPN scope of practice, with RN supervision as required.
Monitor vital signs, assess patient status, and update care plans; document observations in the charting system.
Respond to changes in patient condition, escalating promptly, and participate in care coordination and discharge planning.
Maintain patient safety, comfort, and hygiene; support activities of daily living and patient environment.
Adhere to unit protocols for infection control, medication administration, and equipment use.
Requirements
Current New York Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
1+ year of adult/geriatric Med-Surg or equivalent experience.
Meditech charting experience.
Ability to work 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m. nights and adapt to a 2x3 schedule.
Eligibility for travel assignments and compliance with credentialing requirements.
