Activity Therapist – Full Time
At Arbour Hospital, we work diligently and compassionately to provide patients and their families with high-quality care and service excellence across a continuum of specialized behavioral health services. We have proudly served the greater Boston area since 1909.
The Activity Therapist is an essential member of the inpatient multidisciplinary treatment team, providing expressive arts therapy, psychoeducational groups, and recreational activities on Arbour Hospital’s inpatient psychiatric units.
Responsibilities
Perform initial activity therapy assessment to develop appropriate treatment goals.
Facilitate 4 groups per day.
Complete group documentation and communicate with other members of the treatment team via treatment planning and team meetings.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field.
6 months of experience as a group leader in a psychiatric hospital, partial hospitalization, or intensive outpatient treatment program is preferred.
