Job Overview
Performs all aspects of respiratory care for patients of all ages in critical care, emergency room, med/surg, and nursery. Member of high functioning team performing intubations and education.
General Responsibilities
Position maintains strong autonomy with use of protocols and is a valued member of the interdisciplinary health care team.
Acts as a resource for staff and students.
Provides respiratory care in accordance with LWRMC policies and procedures.
Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be a graduate of an AMA approved 2 or 4 year Respiratory Care program or equivalent, and registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensed by the State of Florida as a Respiratory Therapist in good standing.
May also be a Certified Respiratory Therapist, credentialed by the NBRC and licensed by the State of Florida.
Experience as a Respiratory Therapist in an acute care setting with nursery experience preferred.
BLS required.
ACLS required.
Must obtain PALS and NRP certification within 90 days of date of hire.
Must complete annual departmental competency training.
Valid Florida RRT or CRT license.
